MY ROLE: Product Design Lead + Founder
Architect of AI-integrated UX/UI Workflows

DURATION: 2025–Present
3 weeks (hypothesis to validated concept)
Now evolving into an MVP with continued development and early outreach.

OBJECTIVE: Leverage AI-enhanced UX research and data-driven design to define and validate a product vision for Vela—a hormone-aware performance platform designed for perimenopausal and menopausal women.

Originally launched as a design case study, Vela is now advancing toward prototype testing and live user validation.

This design process demonstrates how intelligent workflows, biofeedback, and wearable integrations can uncover unmet user needs, personalize midlife wellness, and reimagine what thoughtful, evidence-based design can bring to hormonal health innovation.

UNVEILING HORMONAL HEALTH FOR MIDLIFE PERFORMANCE

UNVEILING HORMONAL HEALTH FOR MIDLIFE PERFORMANCE

For women navigating perimenopause and menopause, the body becomes more unpredictable—and yet most wellness and fitness tools ignore this critical life stage.

Outdated Models: Most fitness apps are built around male or fertile-cycle physiology, offering advice that doesn’t reflect midlife realities.

Disconnected Data: Hormonal, fitness, and recovery metrics remain siloed, leaving women with incomplete or confusing guidance.

Midlife Blind Spot: Perimenopausal users remain underserved and without the guidance or personalization they need to thrive.

 AI-ACCELERATED UX RESEARCH

AI-ACCELERATED UX RESEARCH

To move quickly and validate user needs in a lean, evidence-based way, I used an AI-enhanced workflow to map the opportunity space, synthesize insights, and craft the product strategy.

Positioning is based on public product features and user feedback. This framework is directional, not critical.

DATA-INFORMED AI IDEATION & HUMAN VALIDATION

DATA-INFORMED AI IDEATION & HUMAN VALIDATION

With a strong problem space defined, I focused on turning real-world data and wearable inputs into first draft wireframes so that user flows could quickly be tested and refined.

As I received positive feedback on the case study and spoke with women navigating midlife transitions, it became clear this work needed to move beyond the conceptual phase—which is what sparked the product build currently in motion.

WHERE AI ENDS AND CRAFT BEGINS

WHERE AI ENDS AND CRAFT BEGINS

While several AI tools offer rapid prototyping capabilities, they often fall short on visual nuance, usability rigor, and brand cohesion. In this stage, I leverage AI as a starting point—not a substitute—combining automation with deep design expertise to deliver high-fidelity, user-validated, and on-brand UI for the initial product iteration.

Vela is now in active development. I’m building a lean MVP that connects symptom tracking, wearable insights, and hormone-aware guidance in one intuitive experience.

If you’re a potential user, wellness collaborator, or fellow founder in women’s health, I’d love to connect.
